At VintageSpec, we believe there’s more to a wine sale than just getting you bottles. From our cellar to yours we do our best to protect the integrity of the wine - we have agreements with our distributors that allow us to be one of the first stops of the day so that the wine doesn’t sit on a hot truck. Once in our shop it is kept in a temperature controlled cellar. When the wine leaves our shop we pack it in a styrofoam container that insures against breakage. Although we will ship the wine to you anyway that you choose, we prefer to ship to our out-of-state customers on Mondays to insure that the wine doesn’t sit in a warehouse over the weekend. From our years in the wine and service industry we have wonderful contacts with both wineries and distribution companies that allow us access to some wonderful, allocated and rare wines. We feel fortunate not having a traditional liquor store in that we don’t have shelves to stock with “good” wine and can concentrate solely on exceptional wine. Additionally, VintageSpec can provide comprehensive wine education to you, help you organize and manage your cellar, and, as we get to know your palate and collecting focus, act as your personal wine buyer.
Restaurants and Bars
We can design and implement your wine program, train your staff and help you raise check averages by selling more wine. We also organize educational tastings and wine dinners. Our extensive experience in the restaurant industry, especially at the Award-Winning Primitivo Wine Bar in Colorado Springs, serves as the basis for our recommendations. We can design your wine program to be as extensive or simple as you want, and design inventory and re-ordering systems, sales metrics and benchmarks.
