Before founding VintageSpec, Alan Manley owned Primitivo Wine Bar in Colorado with a 2,200 selection wine list. In its five-and-a-half-year run it earned numerous awards including the AAA "Four Diamond Award," the Wine Spectator’s "Best of Award of Excellence" and the "DiRoNA Award" (Distinguished Restaurants of North America).

As GM of Primitivo, and now a consultant to VintageSpec, Laura Larsen was in charge of the extensive Wine Education Program. She is a tested veteran of the restaurant business and is expert at designing menus around wine.
